Prof. Jiri Hlinka Piano Academy has the pleasure of inviting to piano and chamber music master classes with

BORIS BROVTSYN (VIOLIN) and CHRISTIAN IHLE HADLAND (PIANO)

Dates:       4-7  March, 2016 (travelling days 3 and 8 March)

Location: Reksten Collections, Bergen, Norway

We are proud to announce that  two of todays finest international artists, Boris Brovtsyn and Christian Ihle Hadland, will give master classes at the Prof. Jiri Hlinka Piano Academy in March 2016.

About

The classes will be open for students and young established pianists and pre-formed chamber music ensembles with piano, in the beginning of their careers. Limitation of participants is 10, whereof the chamber music ensemble count as one.

The participants will receive 4 classes each of approx 60 minutes duration. The classes starts in the morning of 4 March and ends in the evening of 7 March.

NB! It is important that the participants are in place at the Reksten Collections throughout the whole course period.

Repertory

The students are expected to bring their own music for the course.

Classes

The teaching is timetabled in the main hall Pentagon at the Reksten Collections and will be open to public audience.

Concerts

There will be arranged two public concerts, one in Oseana Art and Culture Center in the region of Bergen the  and one at the Reksten Collections.

Accommodation

Accommodation is offered at the Reksten Collections and is included in the course fee!

Please, be aware that because of  limitation of room capacity, some of the participant may have to be accommodated outside the Reksten Collections.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch are based on self catering in our kitchen, which is fully equipped.  (There are  grocery stores nearby, approximately 5 minutes to walk). Dinners are included in the participation fee and will be provided by the academy.

Practising

At the Reksten Collections you are free to practice in various rooms and on 11 good quality pianos and grand pianos. (The participants are welcome to stay at the Reksten Collections 2 days before and 2 days after the master class period of 4-7 March, to rehearse and study.

Fees and application

Participation fee

Solo pianist: NOK 4000,-

Chamber music partner: NOK 3000,-

To be submitted upon receipt of invoice and one week after acceptance of participation.

The fee includes tuition, accommodation and  dinners on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The application has to be enclosed the following information:

1) CV

2) Repertory/program

3) Links to a video of 10-15 minutes duration, containing 2 pieces. (To be posted on You Tube, Soundcloud etc. or sent by a file sending service or as a DVD by ordinary mail).

Extended application deadline: 29 January, 2016. (Former announced, 20 January)

By the latest of 5 February, applicants will be informed if they have been accepted for the master class.
