Leif Ove Andsnes, Håvard Gimse and Christian Ihle Hadland

Due to travel rules regarding testing and quarantine related to one of our professor’s travels abroad, it has been necessary to make som changes in the program for the March masterclass. The period for the master class has been postponed for 3 days, from originally 8-13 March, to 12-17 March. In addition we are delighted to include Christian Ihle Hadland into the professor team for the masterclass.
About
The classes are open for students and young established pianists at the highest level.
The participants will receive at least 4 classes each of approx. 45 minutes duration. The classes starts in the morning of 12 March and ends in the afternoon of the 17 March.
NB!
Due to the ongoing corona-19 pandemic and to prevent infection, the limitation of participants has been reduced to 6, and only participants with residence in Norway, or that has undergone quarantine according to Norwegian covid-19 rules, will be admitted.

Repertory
The students are expected to bring their own repertory for the course.
Classes
The teaching is timetabled in the main hall, Pentagon at the Reksten Collections. All master classes will be open to public audience
Concerts
There will be arranged 1 public concert with the participants during the master class period.
Accommodation
Accommodation in single rooms with private bathroom ensuite, is offered at the Reksten Collections, and included in the participation fee.
Meals
Lunch and dinner will be served by the academy, and are included in the participation fee. Breakfast are based on self catering in our kitchen. Grocery for the purpose will be provided by the academy.
Practising
At the Reksten Collections you are free to practice on 11 good quality pianos and grand pianos in various rooms.

To be submitted upon receipt of invoice and one week after acceptance of participation.
The application has to be enclosed the following information:
1) Application form (electronical application form to be found underneath)
2) CV
3) Repertory/program
4) Links to a video of 10-15 minutes duration, containing 2 pieces. (To be posted on You Tube, SoundCloud etc. or sent by a file sending service or as a DVD by ordinary mail).
Application deadline: 1 February, 2021
Within the 10February the applicants will be informed if they have been accepted for the master class.
