Prof. Jiri Hlinka Piano Academy has the pleasure of inviting to piano master classes with,
Leif Ove Andsnes and Bertrand Chamayou
Dates: 26-31 May, 2019
Location: Reksten Collections, Bergen, Norway
The classes are open for students and young established pianists at the highest level.
The participants will receive at 4 classes each of approx. 45 minutes duration. The classes start in the morning of 26 May and ends with a a concert in the evening of 31 May.
Limitation of participants is 6. In addition the 3 members of the academy’s talent program for young Norwegian pianists will be invited to take part.
The students are expected to bring their own printed sheet music for the course. The repertory should be ready for performance.
The teaching is timetabled in the main hall, Pentagon, at the Reksten Collections. The participants are encouraged to attend their fellow students’ individual lessons, in order to learn through listening and observing. All master classes will be open to public audience.
There will be arranged one public concert with the participants. The concert will be arranged in collaboration with the Bergen International Festival in the University Aula of Bergen.
Accommodation is offered at the Reksten Collections and is included in the participation fee.
Breakfast is based on self catering in our kitchen, which is fully equipped. We provide breakfast ingredients. Lunch and dinner are included in the participation fee and will be provided by the academy.
At the Reksten Collections you are free to practice in various rooms and on 11 good quality pianos and grand pianos.
All the participants will obtain artist pass from the Bergen International Festival. The pass grants you free entry to 4 events, upon availability.
You also get 30% discount on tickets.
Fees and application
NOK 4000,- (inclusive accommodation, lunch and dinners)
To be submitted upon receipt of invoice and one week after acceptance of participation.
The application has to be enclosed the following information:
1) Application form (electronical application form to be found underneath)
4) Links to a video of 10-15 minutes duration, containing 2 pieces. (To be posted on You Tube, SoundCloud etc.)
Application deadline: 15 April, 2019
Within the 1 May, 2019 the applicants will be informed if they have been accepted for the master class.
